CDC Testing New High-Tech Food Safety Technology

The CDC has been expanding its new high-tech food testing technology. The CDC says the new technology can help spot three times as many outbreaks of food poisoning than before. The goal is to thwart outbreaks or reduce them. Finding outbreaks before they become large would be a great help.

The CDC's Dr. Robert Tauxe told the AP it will start transferring the technology to state health departments starting with 10 states this month. Listeria is the initial target of the technology. Take a look:
